The Associate in Science (AS) degree provides students with a general education core, the foundation for a four-year bachelor's degree. Courses are offered in the areas of English literature, history, foreign language, social and behavioral sciences, natural science, mathematics, and physical education. The AS degree is designed for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in areas of study such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, the sciences, or professional programs that require strong mathematics and science backgrounds.
